After dinner the pair drove to an isolated area and the man allegedly sexually assaulted the woman. Police said the second incident occurred on March 24 this year after an year-old woman matched with the same man on the same dating app.

The woman was with a group of friends at a share house in Burwood and invited the man over. He allegedly followed the woman into a room and sexually assaulted her. Police spokeswoman Natalie Webster said during both assaults the women reported being choked and unable to breathe as well as being forced onto their stomachs.
She said the attacks had only recently been reported to police, and detectives believed the incidents were linked. Ms Webster said the investigation was ongoing, and detectives were looking at any possible links to other sexual assaults.
