Bed, great size and comfortable. Room 6 included new carpet and freshly painted. A couch, table and corner bath were great.. Even though on the main road into warrnambool it was quiet in the room, at the back. There is a major Shopping Centre across the road. I walked into town 5. I enjoyed the stay and already recommended to others. The carpets are old and smelly. The room has this musty smell due to the carpet being so old. The smell is so strong I could not sleep. I had to rub Vics Vaporub around my nose to dilute the smell. Also, there is only 1 washbasin.
One uses the toilet and food preparations but uses the same basin.

I strongly disagree that that is a hygienic provision. Walls have chipped paints. Needs a new paint job to freshen up. It's the older type.
I would go to a newer or renovated accomodation next time. I enjoyed Warnambool but not the accomodation.

Located on the outskirts of Warrnambool this establishment offers good value and clean rooms. Great breakfast in morning. Would stay here again in future. Great value.
Normally I stay at the gateway when I travel for business but this time I had my wife and 3 month old son along for a visit to the grandparents for the long weekend. As per usual the service and facilities is perfect. Brendan and Udae site manager organised a bigger room to accommodate all our "baby" things.

As normal we had a great stay and can recommend the gateway motor inn Warrnambool for both business and holiday. I'm afraid I wouldn't consider staying here again. The room was large and reception was friendly but When I asked for more I was told to go find the housekeeper and get some from her. Took 10 minutes to find her as she was in a room with the door shut. Meanwhile my 8 year old was busting to go to the toilet - surely we could have just been given some toilet paper?
Might sound petty but for the price I was paying I expected a bit more. I think you can get better value for money elsewhere in Warrnambool. See more photos. See map. TripAdvisor Rating.
